La Fortuna, Costa Rica - A green katydid in Costa Rica.  The katydid is also known as the bush-cricket or the long-horned grasshoppers, although they are more closely related to crickets than to grasshoppers.

These type of buses are commonly referred to by English speaking travelers as "chicken buses".  A chicken bus (Spanish: "camioneta") is a colloquial English name for a colorfully modified and decorated US school bus and transit bus that transports goods and people between Central American communities. The word "chicken" refers to the fact that people in rural communities regularly transport live animals on such buses.
